Yeah.....This happened this morning. Copying it from Facebook.
Okay, now that was weird....
I drove out to the east end to pick up this innocent looking, fairly neglected little chest of drawers this morning. When I pulled up in front of the house my first thought was "Oh, great."
There was the dresser, on the front porch of the house surrounded by Halloween mannequins. Zombies, witches, werewolves and little dead children. I kid you not. The house sat up on a hill from the road, across a flooded driveway, up several sets of stone steps.
The sellers instructions were "Ok. It will be on the covered upstairs front porch. Please put money in the black box on the table. Thanks"
There were three cars in the driveway, including a cop car. I trudged through the moat at the bottom of their driveway, up several steps, along a sidewalk, up a few more steps, another sidewalk and up the porch steps.
I deposited the cash in a little black lunchbox with a piece of masking tape marked "PAY HERE". The box sat on a table, and seated around the table were the little dead children mannequins. Freaky stuff to see in June.
As I closed the lunchbox I looked up and saw three figures watching me through the curtains in the window behind the table. These were definitely not mannequins as they were moving around inside the house.
Time for me to leave.
I lifted the dresser up to carry it away and caught a whiff of a new fragrance: Eau de Little Old Lady's Wash Closet. This one must surely be popular with the ladies!
I had planned on padding the piece up and covering it with plastic to protect it from the rain, but decided that maybe a bath on the way home would be the best thing for it. Now, here I am in my driveway five feet away from the trailer and the scent lingers.....
I wonder if Febreeze works on wood?
