If you own any of the models listed be extra careful and aware of this problem. It seems to me to be too early to know what the outcome will be.

Taurus Recalls Nearly 1m Pistols (PT-111 Millennium; PT-132 Millennium; PT-138 Millennium; PT-140 Millennium; PT-145 Millennium; PT-745 Millennium; PT-609; PT-640; and PT-24/7)

$9 million of the $39 million settlement goes to the lawyers.
The variation is due to the cap agreed by both sides of the lawsuit. It limits Taurus’ customer liability to $30m, not including an estimated $9m payment to the lawyers who brought the suit.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.
