No. The whole point of it is that it's smaller and slimmer. The frame will be too narrow for a normal XD/XDM slide

I was excited until I saw it was a compact. I doubt I would have bought one anyways but a xd single stack 8 round full size could be fun to have as a 1911 alternitive.

Meh...if you want a full size single stack .45 just buy a 1911

don't forget the glock 36and taurus pt745...they've been around for a while and are a single stack 45acp polymer pistol.

I know nothing about the Taurus, but the Glock is longer, taller, and wider than the XDs. I know you get an extra round with the Glock, but I'm sure Springfield will release a six or seven round extended mag.

Also, I think Kahr makes a single stack subcompact as well.
Eagerly awaiting the XDS release...
