Do you want just what is on your person or what goes in the truck with you everytime you head out of the house?

Up to you. Either is ok with us. Remember, the more detailed your post and the better your reasoning is are the things we're going to look for.

SG, I agree on the pen. I like the fancy roller ball pens that waste way too much ink when you write with them and have a tendency to leak if shoved in a pocket. I sometimes carry them clipped onto the collar of my shirt, but I want to find a better solution.

I carry two, a cheap government issued one to lend out and a nicer one to use myself.Marcus wrote:SG, I agree on the pen. Re: KAC what do you carry and why contest discussion thread
After my mhm pack review, I just didn't feel like going into detail why I carry what I carry and what this or that is for...
But hey, at least I participated!

I posted the cooler/ lunchbox I take anytime I leave the house. Kind of a mini- survival pack. Looks innocent sitting on passenger seat. Also posted my EDC pistol, knife and keys. This thread has been interesting.

Re: KAC what do you carry and why contest discussion thread
This has made me realize that I am the most ill prepared person on this site most likely... I typically have cash (and sometimes card and ID) in one pocket, 4 keys on a carabiner (house, work, cash drawer, car) in other pocket. iPhone5 in back pocket or hand. That's it... Sometimes a pistol, still on the search for one that's somewhat comfortable to carry. Never a knife, watch, wallet, compass, lights, first aid, lighter or matches, nothing. I need to make much more of an effort to be better prepared for anything. Especially since I spend so much time on the go. I average about 3000 miles a month. I do usually have a pistol, light, lighter, water, jacket/hoodie, knife in whatever I'm driving though and my wallet is in the vehicle also. I attribute a lot of not carrying anything to weight gain. I gained 120 lbs in less than a year a few years ago so I have one hell of a spare tire and no ass so it feels like my pants are always falling down. The more I carry, the worse they feel like that. I'm also open to suggestions from my fellow fat guys what works for them, other than loosing 120lbs...haha I'm VERY slowly working on that part.

Get a proper carry belt, it does make a world of difference. Google "the belt man", he makes my belts and it has made carrying much more pleasant, even when I'm pocket carrying.

Re: KAC what do you carry and why contest discussion thread
I have the no ass problem, I have to wear tighter jeans plus a GOOD tight belt with a shirt tucked in when carrying a heavier setup.
A tucked in under shirt really helps hold some weight up.

Re: KAC what do you carry and why contest discussion thread
I have posted my entry in the first post after Marcus', updating it with pics and text of brief descriptions of what is shown and what is not. Like everyone else, I carry my phone, which I did not bother to include, and miscellaneous items such as notepads, writing instruments, my tablet, a solar charger, etc., most of which stays in my go bag.
