In Chicago unexpectedly...what to do for free?
...other than dodge bullets?
I'm in the Oak Brook area outside Chicago. My youngest got to go on a class trip at the last minute because someone else that paid to go couldn't go.
At the behest of my wife, I drove up to be nearby, 'just in case'. So....I'm in a cheap hotel and looking for something to do!
Any suggestions on what to do that's A. free, or B. cheap?

Hope you brought a ezpass transponder. The $15 river link transponder works on Chicago roads and is half price of cash.

If you are up here until the Saturday, http://www.russellmilitarymuseum.com looks like a lot of fun.

If you haven't already done it, get a real Chicago style pizza.
God made man.
Samuel Colt made all men equal.
John M. Browning and the 1911 made some men more equal than others.

It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters. - Daniel WebsterMexican Kerry wrote:Except for Viv. I predict she will be the leader of a group that roams the countryside pillaging for survival.
