Re: Springfield XDS Recall
Got mine back yesterday and went strait to the range and put 117 rounds through it. Ran perfect, but the trigger is a little heavier. Everything else is the same.

Re: Springfield XDS Recall
Got mine back yesterday. Left work early to try and get home in time to receive the package. According to my neighbor, they came by 30 minutes before I got home and left a door tag. I called FedEx customer service and they were kind enough to contact the Louisville office, who called the driver, and returned to my house a bit later to deliver the package. Saved me a trip to the warehouse. Kudos to FedEx!

Re: Springfield XDS Recall
More reports are trickling in on FB about multiple rounds going off in a row. Sounds like the issue really is a case of when not if it will happen. They said the parts they are replacing will be incorporated into every XDS going forward.

So if I try mine it could be a submachinegun?!?!ssracer wrote:More reports are trickling in on FB about multiple rounds going off in a row. Sounds like the issue really is a case of when not if it will happen. They said the parts they are replacing will be incorporated into every XDS going forward.

I bet 6-8 rounds of .45 would be a handful out of that little sucker running full auto! hahaDave1965 wrote:So if I try mine it could be a submachinegun?!?!ssracer wrote:More reports are trickling in on FB about multiple rounds going off in a row. Re: Springfield XDS Recall
Got my email from Springfield today... It's on it's way home...
Here's the way they think it will go ... regarding timeline....
We are committed to achieving the fastest turnaround times as possible, and we will stick with that commitment until the last upgraded XD-S™ has left the Armory. Specifically, we expect to return upgraded pistols back to their owners as follows:
All XD-S™ pistols received at Springfield Armory® on or before September 10, 2013, will be upgraded and shipped back to their owners by Thanksgiving, if not before.
All XD-S™ pistols received between September 11-30, 2013, will be upgraded and shipped back to their owners by Christmas, if not before.
All XD-S™ pistols received between October 1-31, 2013, will be upgraded and shipped back to their owners shortly after the holidays.
BTW, I sent mine in on August 31.... I believe....

Re: Springfield XDS Recall
Got mine back on Tuesday... Hit the range yesterday... Wasn't at all impressed with the way it was shooting... Way low.... Then after a box or so of FMJ, it started coming back... Just had to get used to it all over again... I think I still tend to compensate for the recoil and pull down as the trigger breaks... I shot a couple mags of hollow points as well and if I was concentrating on the pull and not the recoil, I did just fine...
Even tried some handloads (40 or so) .... All I can say is ... I need to get to the range more often and see if I can break that nasty habit....
No FTF or FTE ... and no 'surprise' follow shots ...

Re: Springfield XDS Recall
I have only had mine out once and I was back to shooting to the left, same as I did when I first got it. Just need more trigger time. It's got the heaviest pull of any of my pistols aside from the 642 so I just need to et used to it again. Need to get some snap caps for home.
