A big fat ass burger off the grill and some fried taters.
She's sick (fortunately we went out for mothers day Friday per her request) and didn't really want anything but I pushed her to eat a little and she said it was awesome...haha

What’s left after I’ve gotten my fill. Wasn’t too bad IMO. First pic it had only been on for a few minutes.

Wagyu brisket overnight. Apple/pecan blend of pellets. Sriracha binder with a brown sugar based seasoning. 15 hrs & it’s melt in your mouth, falling apart tender.

A buddy is getting a new smoker (
https://pittsandspitts.com/product/hybrid/) for fathers day. He is having a semi-pro competition smoker guy restore/upgrade the old traeger for sale. Anybody have good/bad to say about a treager?
Oh, how so high they fly........ only further to fall.

I’ve got a pitboss. They all are basically the same parts in different wrappers. Love mine. They’re smokers for lazy/busy people. I started mine up Friday night @ 7 & didn’t physically check on it until 7 the next morning when I checked on the pellet level & stirred them. Used the app on my phone to monitor the temps. Only used about 20# of pellets over a 16 hr cook. Definite improvement over my old stick burner I had to feed at least every 2 hrs.

The one he's looking at is US made, I might have referenced a wrong model.

I dunno. Joe Traeger sold it to an Equity firm in the early 2000s and they moved operations to China in 2010. Pitts is the shit!

Meat artisan. Ordered a few things from them a while back while on sale. Early Father’s Day gift to myself. Also won a couple raffles from them on FB so I’ve got 2 shelves full of wagyu in my freezer
