Traditional Kayak Spoon (pocket spoon)
First successful spoon in a while. Traditional camp pocket spoon in cherry with tool finish. That’s no saws or sanding, just the finish left by a SHARP knife treated with BLO/wax mixture.

Re: Traditional Kayak Spoon (pocket spoon)
Oak is a ring porous wood, large open grain and NOT good for spoons. But I can do this with barrel heads……KYgundude wrote:Can you make anything from Whiskey Barrel Lids? or too thin once ya remove the char?
