I did a thing...
I finished a room in the basement of the new house as a recording studio. I did it all myself and have no experience with any of this crap. The walls were concrete and drywall before I started. Now they're wood panel and acoustic foam. I'm excited and exhausted.

A cop stopped me on the street and said "we're looking for a mugger who fits your description" , so I said "okay I'll do it".

Room is 10.25 foot long, 5.3 foot wide and 8 foot high. For 96 pieces of acoustic foam you see I spent $144. Would have been cheaper if I went with all charcoal and none of the burgundy.rustynuts wrote:How big is the room? I need to get some acoustic tile (one of the many things on my list) and do some of the walls in my music room.
Looks great!

Re: I did a thing...
All of the bracing that you see holding the panels to the wall are because I was only using woodpanel glue at the time. Like I said, I had never done anything like this before so I never thought of finishing nails in the grooves. I felt stupid when I discovered I could use them on the drywall sides at least. Would have saved me hours upon hours of waiting for the glue to dry because I didn't have enough stuff to brace more than one panel at a time. Lol

That is right about what I've been seeing it for. Did you find it locally or order online?ProCroation wrote:Room is 10.25 foot long, 5.3 foot wide and 8 foot high.
