Goodbye to the Carl Caspers Custom Auto Show
The Carl Caspers Custom Auto show will be no more after this wknd. I used to love going to the show when I was younger. When we were racing we had our Mustang in the show one year (in the Ohio Valley Raceway display).
When I started going to the show it was held in 2 wings and took hours to go through. By the time we had the Mustang in it the number of cars on display had started to drop and the number of crap/junk vendors was increasing. Seemed like the last time I went there were more vendor booths than there were cars to look at.
Lots of memories and good looking rides.

I really used to enjoy the car show. It brought me memories of times I spent with my dad and brother. It was always a "guys day out " event for us. It hasn't been the same since they merged the Carl Casper and the new auto shows together.

The last 10-15 years it went down hill forsure. I used to LOVE going to it and and have some wonderful memories there with my dad (memories are limited because he died when I was 12 so all are valued) and his friends as a kid.
I also got a kiss and was told I was the cutest little thing from Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) when I was about 7 or 8 and was like eeww, girl cooties! My dad said that's one you'll tell your friends about in a few years and for the rest of your life...haha

Re: Goodbye to the Carl Caspers Custom Auto Show
traffic to get in was nuts there today. I didn't go to the car show but had to work around and come through crittenden and make a left turn into the gates. Lots of goobers were going though....smdh...probably not worth the aggravation anymore

Last time I went I still rode with Bottomed Out Car Club. One of our members had a car in the show.... Used to go every year but we just stopped going for some reason.
