Pistols stolen off Dixie Hwy
My buddy's house was broken into last night while he was out. The only things taken were three pistols.
Ruger SR22
Older High Standard target .22
Old Colt .38 Super 1911 (the barrel on this one is marked 9mm but it was machine out to .38 Super)
The High Standard and 1911 were his dad's. Said they took all the mags for those guns but left the mags from other pistols.
Keep your eyes and ears open.

Inside job likely. Everyday burglars take electronics and jewelry. That is specific.

They knew precisely what they were taking. Time to reassess who his "friends" are.

Re: Pistols stolen off Dixie Hwy
They were taken out of my range bag that was inside my bedroom closet. There's only about three people that would have known exactly where they were, and those people would have known where to locate other items just as valuable.
I don't have any jewelry or electronics in my house of any real value.

Also, most of my friends knew I was out of town all weekend and returning Sunday afternoon. Strange they would wait until Monday night to break in.

Re: Pistols stolen off Dixie Hwy
It sucks to think it might be your friends but it has to be a possibility in your mind. If they were looking for gun stuff then why not take it all and the bag? To cherry pick the items is way out of the norm.Hartlage wrote:Also, most of my friends knew I was out of town all weekend and returning Sunday afternoon. Re: Pistols stolen off Dixie Hwy
Based on his footprints in the snow around my back yard, it appears the SOB was on foot and probably didn't want to be seen walking around Dixie Hwy with gun cases in his hands.
I'm not ruling out someone I know, I just have no idea who it could have been based on the limited amount of friends who know exactly where I keep certain items. And I don't understand why they would leave the other pistols and valuable items they could have easily taken as well

Maybe to keep the theft not a felony or something in their mind...criminals are stupid.
