When you put the can on it (is there an 18T .22 can? I don't know...) the ringing will stop.

Then that'll work great! The 18T mounts are notorious for not staying tight (on the can side, not the barrel side).

No, the ringing is harmonic and so adding a can or not it won't stop it.Wyldman wrote:When you put the can on it (is there an 18T .22 can? I don't know...) the ringing will stop.
Not all AAC tuning fork flash hiders do this but to be sure I went with brakes for my mounts.

The AAC Blackout on my AR rings as well.
Some say they dont like it & that they can hear the ring when they fire.
I think they must have some really good ears if they can pick that sound out over the blast.
I can't.

My 10/22 M1 carbine clone pings when you shoot, but I am pretty sure its from the tin upper handguard on it. My buddies thought that was cool but its fucking annoying to me. It sounds like a Garand running dry in a Spielburg movie.
My grease gun 10/22 also pings and sings, but that isn't a big deal cause usually that's insignificant compared to the cuts and steel splinters I get every time I handle it.
