It's brass and usually made by Prvi Partizan which is usually top notchWhootsinator wrote:Has anyone used Wolf Gold before? What do you guys have to say about it?
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

*warning*
Fu@k Target sports USA... they like to take your money and then not ship your ammo, then it takes threatening legal action to get your money back.

Didn't know the other had free shipping. DD's warning makes me not want to order from them though.Whootsinator wrote:$23.77 more after shipping.

Re: Ammo deal- $300 shipped for 5.56
I'll spend the extra $20 to know that I'm not gonna be out $400 and no ammo to show for it... then spend a month trying to get that money back.

Re: Ammo deal- $300 shipped for 5.56
If you actually stick the ammo in your cart they charge ~$5 for 'insurance', bringing the difference between AIM and Target USA to only $10.

I've read nothing but good stuff on this stuff. More positive reviews on ballistics than other comparable ammo.

My dealings with TargetSportsUSA was good to go. You do have to uncheck the shipping insurance, but I have faith in you guys that you can do it.
I ordered a rifle last week from them. Have it in my safe tonight. Called them and was treated very well. Sorry DD had issues, but I have nothing but positive stuff to say. I'm jumping on this deal, Wolf Gold is good stuff!

Every business is bound to screw up from time to time. I had a bad transaction with AIM surplus years ago. I swore them off for 3 months until they had a sale on ammo.

Re: Ammo deal- $286.29 shipped for 5.56
Anyone know if this is true 5.56 or is it .223?

My guess would be .223, but that doesn't help you much
If you have a .223 chamber without a particular reason, get it reamed to 5.56
Subjectively, I've seen people say it doesn't feel underpowered or light, and feels more like full powered M193 than PMC.

Everyone on the net is calling it .223 but it's spitting projectiles at 5.56 velocities, according to Wolf's site. They also call it ".223 Rem (M193)"
