Will this be mostly indoors or outdoors?

Guys, there is not much "getting ready" for a Level 1 course. Carbine, ammo and a way to retain 1-2 extra mags. I will lend you a system to retain your mags.

DBH has it correct. Honestly the only thing you HAVE to have for yourself is ammo and $10 for chow. Collectively, we can get you set up for everything else.
DBH has a rig he can lend you, I have a rig I can lend you, RWI has a rig or three you could use, extra mags to borrow can be found, and very probably even an extra carbine.

While Level 1 Courses are fairly elementary, Level 2 Courses are some of the funnest shooting that I've ever done. But you can't do Level 2 until you have completed Level 1.

Re: Jan 20th Tactical Rifle lvl 1
It may be a level 1 but you'd be very hard pressed to find a level 1 that covers what we do.
Please understand that the reason behind our requirements for higher level courses is based on that.

Exactly, I would be willing to bet we have one of the most extensive lvl 1 Tactical Carbine courses throughout the country.325MOUTguru wrote:It may be a level 1 but you'd be very hard pressed to find a level 1 that covers what we do.

no thats only on the level 2 and 3 classes. Level one is great to learn good shooting habbits. Helps straighten out your gear placement. First Level one i did was i think 2 years ago and i got the flu 72 hours pior to the class. Feaver broke 24 hours before the class. It was a great class even though the night before half the instructors were at a wine party at the colemans.

That was a rough one. The first several RWI classes I did hungover...for a while I think I was a better shot with a hangover than without

Can you run, or do lunges.....anything to get your heart rate up?Dave1965 wrote:I heard pushups were involved. I can't do those lol
The purpose is to simulate the stress (higher heart rate, sweating, shaking, etc.) that you would feel in a real life situation. I find that I actually shoot better after doing pushups.
Again, this is for Level 2 & 3.
In my previous post, I in no way meant to belittle Level 1 Courses (I hope it wasn't interpreted that way). I was trying to stress how much funner level 2 Courses are.
I have done Pistol 1, Pistol 2, Carbine 1, Carbine 2, Zombie Shoot and Christmas Shoot and plan on doing them all again this year. Probably end up doing Carbine 3 this year.
Remember, I'm 54 years old !! If I can do it, you can too !!!
