Stupid Bitch could have killed us and many others

On the Gene Snyder north taking my 16 year old to a job interview, when a black Audi passes us on the left side- off the roadway, in the gravel next to the cable barrier; doing 110-120 mph. (I have enough experience in pursuits to accuately estimate)
Audi continues on for 100 yards, attempting to get back on the roadway...finally makes it and shoots across the lanes bouncing off two other cars- which was the only thing that kept her from not launching into the recessed field off the right shoulder. We stopped so I could check on the drivers briefly,
I told my daughter that we would see that car crashed up ahead.
Sure enough, we make the curve at 146 and there it is, overturned.

Turns out, stupid girl was driving her boyfriend to the hospital because he/they overdosed on heroin.
I would have punched her in the face if it wasn't already bloody.

It was a god teaching moment for a new driver.

In the least she should catch dui, and Wanton Endangerment x 4+.

Last night we got a shoplifter at Kohls on Bardstown Rd. We caught up with the girl at the Gene Snyder, out of breath from running from loss prevention.

She went to jail and had needles on her. Back at Kohls, we found in her purse that she dropped with the stolen goods, methamphetamine, a spoon, and more needles. This girl was like 30 years old. Had a nice Lexus IS350 or whatever in the parking lot(although wrecked in the front).

I was like no way this is her car. She says it's "boyfriends".

We call boyfriend, he is like 70 years old. She begs him to get her out of jail. He says he has no money.

She screams into the phone "SELL THE CAR!!!" We all laugh.

He responds with....."I will honey"

She must be good at something!

We've got a 22 yr old grandson we're trying to get locked in rehab under Casey's law. We've got him in twice and both times he walked out and went right back to Heroin. He's overdosed twice already but, both times the police saved his life with narcan.
He ran off the road last time and didn't even get charged with dui.
If Casey's law does not work the next step is a funeral.
I'll never be able to comprehend it. I've been on opiate pain relievers for several months at a stretch due to surgeries and I know full well what withdrawal feels like. But, both times I threw the shit down and begged my doctors to release me to go back to work. Why anyone wants to feel like that is beyond me.

I don't think I personally know anyone who uses heroin. I do know someone who was addicted to OxyContin. That person has been clean for about 6-7 years now. They did the methadone route and it worked for them. I can't imagine the pain and helpless feeling a family of an addict feels watching someone wreck their lives with that shit! Very sorry to hear that you and your family have to deal with it.

they didn't want to sit on him at the hospital and were too lazy to take a warrant later, and/or they didn't order a tox screen.
The guy that used to cut my hair fell off the needle wagon about a year ago- mid 20's, super nice guy- met some girl that got him using again; nobody has heard from him since then.
