Okay, who shot the trap box at New Haven?

Was there Wednesday and it looks like someone shot the trap box a few times. Don't remember seeing the damage there 1 1/2 weeks ago. Rounds didn't penetrate the metal but good grief! One of the other guys there said it looked like a 9mm to him.

Most were straight on hits on the left side, one looked like it hit the concrete at the base and skipped up into the metal.

I noticed that as well yesterday.

How bad was the brass when you went? I saw quite a bit yesterday.

I may be wrong, but I believe this happened on 4/1...

Seen someone over there handling it....again, may be wrong, but I thinl thats what happened...

Accident by someone that didnt realize the situation

Brass is always bad when when I go down there... there a some individuals that are shooting there and tearing the place up. They don't pick up brass, they don't pay range fees, they shoot at the trap house and etc. They will get caught eventually, and I can only hope I'm the one to catch this motherfuckers.

Least it was a accident.

I hear ya DD, I cleaned most of mine up but left some as it got dark but I'll be there tomorrow to finish cleaning it up.

I try to pick up a little extra.

Yesterday I saw a lot of 9 223 40 and 22s in the gravel and concrete area

How many we're there? I was shooting from the left towards it a little, but I'm sure I didn't hit it as I had the target set up so the angle was not near the box. Could have been a stray if it was only one. If so I can take blame for that.

I'll make sure I push it out farther next time. Sorry

Found 223/5.56 brass here and there and a bunch of steel 7.62x54r casings. But there was also a bunch of hand gun casings laying around. Picked up what my time allowed. Maybe we need to arrange a casing pickup party.

What time were you there? I was there 12:30 to a little after 2:00 Wednesday. Just wondering if you were before or after me for comparison.

Gotcha I was there from 630 til dark. Was the box already hit? If so then that confirms I didn't hit it by accident.

I didn't closely look at it just noticed some marks

It had been already been hit before midday, so it wasn't you.

Well ya know, I have nothing to hide an I hate when people don't take responsibility. So I would rather say I might have done it then think I might have and not say anything.

I like NH I try to go twice a month and don't want people thinking I'm trashing it. I want to continue to go and have it a nice place.

No worries, whoever is trashing the place goes down there quite a bit.. so they will be caught eventually.

Well if I see anyone I'll defiantly talk to them if I think it's them.

Kinda sad, it's a nice place lets keep it that way.

Sometimes I understand you lose track of time and can't clean up ALL your brass.0

I have to admit that sometimes, depending on the light, it is sometimes hard to spot you brass in the gravel. Maybe I need to bring a tarp with me next time.

yeah there was alot of brass all over the ground when we started level 2 pistol last month.

If you're shooting steel just use the roll around magnet. I just bought 2,000rds of wolf steel case 223 at Keene's yesterday on the way back home. Only steel ammo I even use before was 7.62x39 and 54r. But I shoot 223/5.56 alot more.

There are brass catchers that mount on an AR but can sometimes cause jams.
