I'm not saying that they need to quit being douchenozzles. They can do whatever they want.
But! If they want to avoid the public backstorm and whatnot you are better off walking in with a little tact.
Personally, I think he could have handled it much better. I'm pro gay rights, but his comments don't piss me off or effect my life in any way. I just hate when people come off as idiots because of their words.
