I was looking for parts for a Springfield Armory 1911 and when you go on Springfield's website 111 still shows up as a Retailer.

True. I've seen stores that have gone out of business be listed as retailers before.

Here's the first post. Next mentioned a two month long audit so August would be about right.
Next wrote:I heard that 111 may be closing??? I have wondered about this two month long audit. Then they were closed last week and now again today. They have not been willing or able to order any new guns. I also heard they are not even buying used guns and referring folks to other shops. Anyone have the real story?

Seems like the market is really slow. Pawn shop that I go to said they set up for two days at Cave City Show and only sold 2 guns.

111 must be making some changes. Drove by today and there is a dumpster out front and middle sign is gone.

Haven't seen any change.

Also stopped into Bourbon City Firearms going out of business sale 25% off. Didn't really see anything I had to have. Never understood why they tried to go toe to toe with KYGUNCO a few miles away.

I drove by it last night and noticed that they reduced the footprint of the store. They are now just in the corner of the building. At some point do you take the big sign down that says GUNS?

Went by ECC yesterday to pick up a $99 Diamondback 380 pistol, but they were out. No real deals there, but the inventory is really growing.

Bummer. They used to have a good selection of AR parts... I need to find an upper receiver for a stripped Spike’s lower I have.
