Phone protection

Post by Niceguy » Tue Apr 12, 2016 2:07 pm

As a 100% techtarded fool, I'm curious as to any good free virus scans/eliminators, and then protection for my Note 5 (through Verizon if that makes a difference). I had a virus warning pop up and then go away. It didn't stay up long enough to read it all, but something about a battery virus. I've seen no ill effects from it. Any help for a tard would greatly appreciated.

Tannerite. Around 10lbs should be enough to remove the virus

BTW: Please shoot a video just in case you lose a leg in process.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

I remember, fun times...haha Only issue is, it's like a 2 month old stupidly expensive phone. Give it another 2 months when the new Note 9 should be out and I'm in...haha

Install AVG and scan it. It will usually take care of malware and most virii, and it's free.

I've never heard of a battery virus. I have heard of virii that will drain a battery pretty quick, but never one that could infect the hardware.

Cool. I'll do that... It looked like a sales pop up to me, I just couldn't make it to the end before it disappeared.

We could be dealing with a serious virus here, anything less than 10lb might do nothing more than piss it off. Think of the children!

Just don't go on shady sites or click on random links. I believe pornhub has been virus free.

A link from one of those spam emails, I'd bet.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER click links in emails from people you don't know, and be wary of one's from people you DO know! There are all kinds of malware payloads that get delivered just opening certain sites.

That may have been when it popped up but it may have been sooner than that. Alot of things can get into your computer. It's good to reformat every once in a while. Not system restore, but system wipe. Not hard to do

The system check said zero threats so I'm guessing it was a pop up to buy some kind of phone protection plan...
