Phone protection
As a 100% techtarded fool, I'm curious as to any good free virus scans/eliminators, and then protection for my Note 5 (through Verizon if that makes a difference). I had a virus warning pop up and then go away. It didn't stay up long enough to read it all, but something about a battery virus. I've seen no ill effects from it. Any help for a tard would greatly appreciated.

Re: Phone protection
Tannerite. Around 10lbs should be enough to remove the virus

The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Re: Phone protection
I remember, fun times...haha Only issue is, it's like a 2 month old stupidly expensive phone. Give it another 2 months when the new Note 9 should be out and I'm in...haha

Re: Phone protection
Install AVG and scan it. It will usually take care of malware and most virii, and it's free.
I've never heard of a battery virus. I have heard of virii that will drain a battery pretty quick, but never one that could infect the hardware.

Re: Phone protection
We could be dealing with a serious virus here, anything less than 10lb might do nothing more than piss it off. Think of the children!ssracer wrote:worked on my old iPhone 3GS....didn't take 10lb either...WLJ wrote:Tannerite. Around 10lbs should be enough to remove the virus

Re: Phone protection
A link from one of those spam emails, I'd bet.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER click links in emails from people you don't know, and be wary of one's from people you DO know! There are all kinds of malware payloads that get delivered just opening certain sites.

That may have been when it popped up but it may have been sooner than that. Alot of things can get into your computer. It's good to reformat every once in a while. Not system restore, but system wipe. Not hard to do
