How would you go about cleaning a .22 can that is sealed, that is not designed to open up?

Thanks,

Brian

Is it aluminum or stainless? If stainless, you can use "the dip" method (described in detail in the arfcom suppressor section under the Armory). This does, however have the downside of being highly toxic & difficult to dispose of properly. This method will eat aluminum, if your can has any aluminum components, DON'T DO IT!

The only other alternative is to send the sealed can back to the manufacturer for cleaning & refurbishment. This is why nearly all cans made in the last few years are user servicable, otherwise most people won't buy them.

What about ultrasonic cleaners?

I wonder if Wet Tumbling with steel pins , like I do my brass, would work?

We need to know what suppressor you have. It depends on what it is made of.

Ultra sonic will remove dirt but not really lead although Hordney makes a cleaning fluid for them.

Just back from a vacation. I have an AAC MK2. I think it is all stainless. It has been a very good pistol. It is just not designed to be opened up.
