Anyone here still like Hot Wheels?

Think of the cool gadgets we all love, this would be the place to post about them.

Anyone here still like Hot Wheels?

Post by Mexican Kerry » Thu Dec 26, 2013 5:30 pm

I've still got a pile of em from when I was a kid, of course they are now my kids. Nothing like a cool Hot Wheels or Matchbox car when I was young. I still like them, and when I see a nice one I have to buy it.

Today I spied these beauties while grocery shopping, they had to come home with me.

An old FJ40 and a first gen 4Runner! Maybe I'm simple, but the simple things keep me happy.

Anybody else have some cool toy cars to share? Its the Christmas season, kids love em, and hey, its a cheap way for all of us to be classic car collectors haha.

I'm waiting for dinner to cook and got nothing on the go right now.

Here's another one of my favorites, want a real one but can't afford it!

This is probably one of my most cherished toys haha. I had a Nomad when I was a kid, but its long gone. When I saw this one a few years ago, I had to have it. And its got the redline wheels.

If you have free time to waste on KAC reading about Hot Wheels, you've got time to post a pic or two of your favorites. Don't leave me hanging here.

Nice. Let's see more. Screw Barrett Jackson, the real classics will be showcased on KAC.

Made a trip to the basement and snapped a quick cell phone pic. I didn't have many toys as a kid, so these got played with a *lot*:

Funny that this topic jsut got put here. I found a Hot Wheels storage box in the basement just today while throwing out some crap to make room for new stuff.

There were several that were 'off brand' junk but I found a few I had when I was a kid. The Bat Mobile was one of 'em. The kid has it now, along with 6 or 7 others from my childhood.

I'll try to remember to snap some pics but they are nothing special and you can tell they were played with a lot.

Haha, "The Baron" is a classic. Yours looks like its in a lot better shape than mine. That damn car is evil, it would hide in the shag carpet and you'd only find it in the middle of the night when you were walking to the bathroom in the dark.

I see the error of my heathen ways now as an adult. I would love to have them all now! Hindsight is always 20/20...haha I would say at least many hundred over the years. Pretty much since I was a toddler all I have ever gotten for Christmas and birthdays were cars, bike parts and .22 ammo. My wish list has never changed. My aunts and Grandmothers said they always hated buying for me because I always wanted the same things my whole life...Still want the same things. haha

I started collecting them again. I keep them in the package, so far all of them are just the Porsche's, Ferrari's, and Lambo's.

I need to go to my parents house and find all my hot wheels and lego's.

Should be 100+ cars and 30-40lb's worth of Lego's somewhere.
