Cleaning flashlight lenses
I noticed my Surefire g2x pro's plastic lense had taken a beating. It really isn't as durable as the glass lenses. I used some turtlewax headlight lens restoration kit on my flashlight and it worked pretty well. The pictures don't do it justice.

Could you polish a lens with progressively finer aluminum oxide sandpaper like you could polish metal?

Re: Cleaning flashlight lenses
I've got some rubbing compound that I use on the car's headlights. It would probably work too

Re: Cleaning flashlight lenses
The kit came with fine sand paper but I just used the paste. I'd say you could use anything like that on plastic. I wouldn't mess with glass lenses tho. My 12 year old surefire z2 that saw the sandbox 3 times has a glass lens with no visible scratches.
