LED conversion lamps
anyone replaced their surefire 6p or g2 lamps with an LED version. wanting to convert mine for more lumens and longer battery life

A few years ago I considered a G2 LED conversion at $45. But instead I bought a new G2 LED light for $60. For $15 more I had 2 lights.
Cutting grass is the price I gladly pay for not being cold.

the top lamp richief linked too is prolly what I am going to order. I need 3 as I have a black g2, tan g2, and black 6p

Those you are looking at have a 3.6 to 18 volt range. I'd say the 450 lumens is at 18 volts. So at 6 volts that's potentially 150 lumens. Not bad for $12. Wonder if it's plastic or metal reflector. If it's plastic you could have overheating issues. Worth a try for $12.
