Nice looking 1911 pics. Not sure if the one I'm getting is NM or not. Doesn't make or break the deal for me. I do know I have no patience and the 24th can't get here fast enough lol

Picked it up today. NM prefix. I'll post detailed pics in a bit. Everything looks very tight fitting. But I'm not a 1911 guru.

Nice! You are going to love it. Does it have the MS 'lock' on it?

Already do love it lol. It's an awesome shooter. It does have the lock on the mainspring housing, however, it didn't come with the key. I have thought about eliminating the lock altogether.

yeah get rid of that thing- any MSH will work on there instead.

I may have an extra key. It os a small key in a plastic bag usually with all the papers

i need to look through the paperwork a little better. it may be there. the lock is very small, not real noticeable at a glance, but still would prefer it gone. may look into one of the msh's with the flared mag well attached. took it out to a buddies house this morning. ran 150 rounds of federal 230 grain fmj through it. then i ran 50 rounds of federal c45d 230 grain jhp. not a problem. everything ran smooth. gun is very accurate. overall, i am very satisfied.

the key looks like a plastic handled hand cuff key.

If you decide to get a MSH with a magwell, go with the Smith & Alexander ones. Well worth the money.

just checked through the box. no key. Not a huge deal, as long as a liberal ghost doesnt lock me out in the middle of the night lol. I will definitely look into the smith and alexander ones. I love the way they look.

I've never had an issue with leaving the msh lock in place. Some of my Springfields still have them, some have been replaced (by previous owners). If its really killing you, I can send you a key.

Not having the key isn't a big deal. Plus, the lock isn't very noticeable. I don't plan on buying much for it other than ammo right now. I may modify it later on down the road, but I'm happy with it the way it is right now.
