New guy from Louisville
New guy from Louisville
Hey guys and gals, my name is Nick and I just recently purchased a Taurus PT709 as my future cc. I haven't made it to the range yet but I'm looking forward to this weekend. I am excited to be joining the growing group of ccdw license holders in KY. I am a father and husband and old soul pipe smoker.

Anyone who is a pipe smoker is OK with me. I favor pipes by Castello and JT Cooke, and I'm a fan of Esoterica Stonehaven and Escudo, as well as Latakia blends.
Welcome!

Re: New guy from Louisville
I love pretty much any VA or English blend from McClelland. I'm not to picky when it comes to pipes. I'm very thrifty when I am looking foe a new one but at almost 30 pipes I'm just about happy with my collection. Glad to have a fellow pipe smoker on here though.Frailer wrote:Anyone who is a pipe smoker is OK with me. Re: New guy from Louisville
I have a big trunk full of PCCA blends from McClelland that I bought back in the 90s when I thought pipe smoking would go the way of the dodo. My friend RC Hamin (the former PCCA proprietor) was also the North American distributor for Castello, so I got my pipes from him at a very good price. I was also fortunate to become friends with JT Cooke before his popularity exploded and his pipes became almost impossible to get. As it is, my pipes are probably worth more than my guns.
