I think I'd opt for .22 WMR. It will do anything I'd want to do with the 5.7 (the latter has some advantages, but not for my anticipated uses), and ammo is both cheaper and easier to find. If I ever get a 5.7 firearm, it'll be a PS90.

Interesting design, however. I wouldn't mind giving one a test drive.

Handled a 22WMR version at Ky gun co and it felt well built.
22WMR ammo has the advantage of being able to be found right now.

only problem with 5.7x28mm its .40 to .50 cent a round
cost more then .223 other than that its a cool little round

I used to scoff at it too, and for the same reason. But after handling a PS90 I say what it brings to the table, is a handy small light weight very controllable in rapid fire rifle. Plus with the P/PS90 you get a fifty round mag. And I don't know if you've noticed brass cased 223 in in the 40+ range now.
