Re: grills/smokers?

That's the problem. Those trimmed briskets that show up at Kroger so infrequently are always trimmed way too close. I much prefer the whole brisket in the vac-pac so I can cook the whole thing and trim it so that it still gets the benefit & flavor from the fat. Not to mention how gawd-awful expensiv...

Re: grills/smokers?

Where did you find a whole, untrimmed brisket around here? I used to fix up brisket all the time when I lived in Houston, all the grocery stores carried them & they weren't nearly as stupidly expensive as the sorry looking, rare (as in hard to find) specimens I've seen here. Would need a shop press. I don't have one, do you? A 12 ton press would work just fine.

Re: My latest G21 upgrade

If I can make it ot NH on April 1. I will bring it with me, as I still haven't been able to shoot it. We went shooting today, but my club range has a no carbines rule, that I wasn't aware of until I got there today and found a big orange notice on the bulletin board to that effect, so, no shooty the...

You may as well ask why Ford or Chevy. There are more answers than words and as many opinions as there are assholes to form them.

I went Mossberg years ago.

Re: My latest G21 upgrade

About 8 days after placing the order I got tracking info. According to his website, these are made to order, so it can take a few days, but it was not too bad a wait. Yes, you just remove the slide, insert a feedramp part into the frame, insert the tabs into the upper and click it into place. Taking...

Re: If I Only had one handgun.... Glock or what?

If it's only one Glock, hands down. Few parts, I.E. less to go wrong, light, tested and proven by not only myself but the rest of the world as well. I LOVE 1911s but they can be prom queens, Glocks are truck stop hookers. Treat them like shit and they'll still do their job. I couldn't have said it ...

Picked the MK II. After 30 years of shooting one, it's as natural as breathing for me. I'd take my S&W 17 (K-22 Masterpiece) as a back up.

Re: WTS/WTT Badger Paracord Slings

How wide can you make these? I'd like to get a couple of them for some of my rifles, but need them to be wide enough to not cut into my shoulder or my arm when slinging up to shoot off-hand (circulation issues).

Re: something to keep an eye on

Wash your hands as often as possible (Purel works good and is easily transportable). Swab your nostrils out with peroxide or salt water after being out in public, especially hospitals or Dr's offices, when traveling (especially airplanes), hotels/motels, malls, movie theaters, or restaurants. Just t...

Re: Biggest POS gun you have ever shot/ owned?

The only POS I ever bought was a Raven .25. It actually ran well, and the only reason I bought it, was because my first wife wouldn't carry anything else and she worked in a part of Houston that I worried about her safety constantly. We got lucky and she never had to use it, but I (or she) tested it...

Re: I get ONE battle rifle, whats my goto?

I picked the AR-15, mainly because it is lightweight, I can carry a lot of ammo for it easily, and it's very, very accurate & reliable for me. I also have the choice of grabbing my AR-10 for some serious downrange punch, even more so than an AK47. What's the old saying? ".308, turning cover into con...
