Re: My attempt at my first garden

I have been using raised beds since we've been here. The soaker hose is a great idea. I use Shultz garden soil- its light a fluffy and much cheaper than miracle grow. I also mix in my compost. Ive got peas, green beans and tomatoes in right now. I need to get some pepper plants and a few more tomat...

10-4 I picked up a soaker hose yesterday. Most things I've read say about a inch of water per week.

Re: My attempt at my first garden

Thanks! The guys at the feed store where I got the top soil suggested just using some water soluable miracle grow since the area is so small. Do you think that will do? If so, I'm assuming that I would wait a couple weeks before using it, or should I go ahead and try some? I did start a compost bin ...

My attempt at my first garden

I'm trying a garden for the first time this year. I've been reading and researching a ton but tips and tricks are always welcome! Started off tilling up a 4x12 section in the back yard. Re: Week 3/ charcloth

Finally got around to making some since I had a fire going last night... My G-Shock tin was a nice size so I popped a hole in the top: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g211/mtmetzger/bushcraft/3D2B1B06-F061-4437-9C36-52E1207C00B3-4064-000000FF58E8D3C3_zps35aadf85.jpg Cut up an old shirt http://i57....

Re: Note crapped

If you can get an external hard drive case, you can pull that drive out, put it in the case and connect it via USB to another computer that will boot and you can probably recover your data that way.

I've been wearing a G-Shock for a little over a year now. Other than a couple scuffs on the band, it still looks new. No complaints here for ~$140

Re: Week 1/ The try stick

OK, here's my attempt at a try stick. I'm sure I didnt do it correctly and for some reason I have a couple hours in it. Looking back, I know one of the problems was that I was not using the baton much in the beginning because my daughter was sleeping and it made too much noise. I ended up carving a ...
