Thieves
This is my house. I have better vids just don't know how to share on here.
It's crazy what they used to get in multiple cars.

Re: Thieves
Wow, that's insane.. both the tech, and how long they stayed. I'm glad they stopped at the cars. Did you end up with a large loss?

We got a lot of shares on FB. Other another guy also has them on film off national turnpike. And another guy said he chased them off on Blanton ln.
I just installed a harbor freight driveway alarm that lets me know if anyone is near my house. My tv monitor always stays on too

Re: Thieves
I don't leave anything in mine. And she won't now. I know some people still do so I'd thought I'd give a heads up on how easy it is with locked doors
Re: Thieves
My daughter thought she lived in a good neighborhood but got hit this year. Lost one gun and her wallet and a bunch of cash. Just stupid on her part and they want security system but have opted for locking their doors and not leaving much in the cars except junk.

Re: Thieves
Its sad that I think more people leave lots of things in their cars than those that don't. It's always been strange to me.

Thieves target the "good neighborhoods" because people leave their cars unlocked with good stuff in them. It's so easy nowadays.
well my daughter said they saw a couple of guys walking through the woods near their neighborhood the day of the thievery, she didn't recognize them from town but she knows a lot of people. Figured they were some druggies walking through and came back later. Don't guess they had no skittles and tea with em

Re: Thieves
I'd be interested to know the make and model of the vehicles broken into. Being the car guy that I am, I want to better understand just exactly what key/fob type security systems they breached.
What bugs me, aside from the asshat thieving bastards getting off with someone else's property, is that the vehicles ranged from 1995 to 2016. A vehicle dating back as far as 1995 is the kicker for me. I'm not saying it can't be done with an older car but first I'd like to know WHAT older car. I'm thinking the '95 was a beater and the doors were just left unlocked and only the newer cars were breached, proper.
This just reminded me, that I'm overdue for adding cameras at the new house.

A cop stopped me on the street and said "we're looking for a mugger who fits your description" , so I said "okay I'll do it".

Re: Thieves
95 was a old escort , yes doors unlocked. I got better video footage of them in the act. With there electronic "tool". They got in a 2008 Mitsubishi Galant, 2002 Kia , and neighbors chevy envoy. You can see them playing with their transmitter, lights on cars blink then they run up too it and get in.
Not sure the makes of the cars of all the neighbors

Re: Thieves
Don't be sorry I said that I couldn't sleep without them. I have cameras, lights all around, security signs, real security system and monitoring, a big dog that alerts, multiple cars in driveway when not home, privacy fence, retired neighbors who look out for me and call if anyone is in my driveway they don't know, and a few other things I won't mention. Determined people are determined but I'm about as unfriendly as a house can be. Besides I don't have anything that is worth their life, trust me.Rem700 wrote:Sorry Jack....but cameras wont save you. They will only tell you (maybe) who took your stuff. They only offer peace of mind IMO.
