Harley V-Rods

Post by Niceguy » Sat Jul 22, 2017 9:08 pm

Any of you Harley guys know much about these? I've had an offer of one for my Civic. I'm absolutely not a Harley guy, but this has been one that's always had a little of my interest... It's an 04 with 17k miles. Looks pretty clean buy haven't seen it in person yet. ImageImage

I know I have a great car now and I just don't want to get into a POS bike situation. Harley's don't have the best rep of being quality outside of the Harley world...haha I know ZERO about Harleys other than the few I've riden were garbage in my eyes and the ones that didn't feel like it, were $20k+ bikes.

Just looking around a little, it looks like it would be a fairly even trade value wise. I just worry about getting rid of it if I hate it. Seems like Harley guys I know don't care for these and all others I knjow don't care for Harleys. These bikes seem to be a small market.

I'm sure I'm not helping and you already know, but that vrod is completely different than most normal Harleys. Engine is designed by Porsche.

Yeah, I think that's why the Harley guys aren't fans, and it's not enough to make the all others group fans enough to actually buy a Harley...haha

The power band on those bikes are a lot of fun. They're nothing like what you're used to on street bikes but you won't hate it.

They're more of a niche bike and most guys have trouble unloading them.

He sent me a video and it has bub or dub or something like that pipes. It actually sounds good and I don't normally like the "Harley" sound.

Still kinda has the Harley sound, but doesn't sound like it's falling apart like most Harleys.

I always liked the v-rod. They sit very high for the vertically challenged such as myself. I rode frequently with a buddy that had one. I liked it cuz it wasn't an old mans Harley.
