With the large ones they chew them up before swallowing and only have to eat two or three before they are sated, where they will eat ten or fifteen of the smaller ones in a sitting. I just don't see much difference in what's stuffing their gut, other than the smaller ones are a big softer.
And honestly, I don't think I would consider an adult cricket a "large food item" for these guys any more. The smaller of the two is about 7 inches long now and the other one is over 8".
I agree. That's why I just tell people to do their own research on it and come to their own conclusion. But I agree once they are growing like these are it's really a non-issue.
