Re: Get my feet wet
make your trust name as short as possible; engraving costs per letter! Your last name + trust is best, like Smith Trust.
unless your last name is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

Get my feet wet
How about balls trust? J/k
Your serial number and model can be anything you want. If it's not already on the drop down menu, it has to be submitted for approval which ads to the time it takes to get approval.
I have just paid a flat fee for the engraving. I guess that all depends on who you use.

Re: Get my feet wet
Unless law has changed etching is not a legal method. I have a commercial unit that I use and it will not etch to required depth.Toddstang wrote:guncrank1 wrote:I am balls, Jerville , KY

Stamping , cast or engraved are the only methods in the law.
Edit update
Other FFLs agree that if it meets depth and size it is legal.

I'll buy a few rounds of beers if you make the model Jenny, serial# 8675309.ballscutoff1978 wrote:I need ideas on trust names. At first I was thinking something that would guarantee that the kids would defiantly remember I had a warped sense of humor. However this is something serious, but we hey it's my trust so whatever. Also, serial numbers, it can be anything correct? As in #PEN15 or something like #4567-1234

Laws must of changed. I asked the experts on their site and they said as long as it meets BATFE requirements than its good to go.guncrank1 wrote:Unless law has changed etching is not a legal method.
