Was offered a Remington r1 stainless on trade. I have wanted a 1911 for a while but never figured to get one for a long time and have not done much reaserch because of that. Any thing I should look for on it that's a common issue or any reason I should shy away from it?
Thanks in advanced guys

Re: Remington r1 stainless
I guess they are OK, they don't seem to be big sellers, at least not around here. For about the same money you can get a Springfield which is much better in my opinion. They haven't made a big splash into the market from my knowledge yet they are out there. I guess it would depend on what kind of money you are putting into the gun itself.

Re: Remington r1 stainless
I have the R1 Standard and the R1 Enhanced. I like them both and have never had any issues with either.ken6881 wrote:Was offered a Remington r1 stainless on trade. Keep in mind that Grab-a-Gun recently had the R1 Stainless on sale in conjunction with a rebate from Remington so the R1 SS came to approx. $600 shipped (ffl transfer fees not included).

That's where I valued it at I have under 500 in what I was going to trade for it. I ultimately want a. 2011 sti but that's out of the question right now.
