How the hell??? My safe weighs more than an SUV! Did he have cameras etc? I have cameras to a remote DVR.

The DVR comment wasn't saying it would stop the theft but it might make them easier to track if he has a visual of them and vehicle.

No, no security system.
Like most burglary victims he is now investing in one.
His "security" was the dog.
They took the dog too.
He had a smaller safe. Probably under 500lbs loaded. A couple of guys could have carried it. Easily if they had a dolly.

Wtf... How low can you get to steal a man's dog. That's like the person who had their car alarm stolen when I worked at circuit city.ChopperDoc wrote:No, no security system.

.
I vote for a new law. Found guilty if breaking in a house and stealing a dog. Death penalty no appeals.

That sucks. The way it sounds, this wasn't their first rodeo. Hope they get caught and hope he recovers everything, including the dog, safe and sound.

Cutting off their hands just make them depended on someone, cutting off their head on the other hand...........Dave1965 wrote:I would be ok with cutting off hands of thieves. Someone got that part right.
Was that a pun?
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Re: Have a friend that had some stuff stolen from his home
That's just low. I've had some things stolen in the last year (riding mower, BNIB fire safe from the back seat of my car in the driveway) including my dog. The other stuff didn't bother me nearly as much as losing the dog, "stuff" can always be replaced but not the dog.
Thankfully, he wasn't too happy with his new home and escaped. He found his way back home two days later wearing a new pink collar.
I hope your friend is able to get his belongings back. It's a sick feeling having your things stolen.
