I'm liking my Cabela's perfekt hikers, not in Lex though.
for walkers I like my new balance 968

two different animals, not sure what your looking for but these and a pair sneakers got me covered as good as I ever had it, for the everyday stuff.

Re: Hiking/Walking Shoe
See if there's a Shoe Carnival or Shoe Sensation nearby and check in there before you order some. The one in Murray always has a bunch of nice shoes marked 50% off. I bought a pair of Merrell Tucsons a couple of weeks ago for about 45 bucks. Last year I got some Timberland Chocorua Trail boots for half off. Those Timberlands are the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever had.

Re: Hiking/Walking Shoe
I have a couple pair of Rockport boots that feel pretty good to me. Good support & all leather. 1 pair is a ankle height hiker style & the other looks like the old style black combat boot.

I purchase mine through REI. I run Keen voyager II, Hi-Tech cascades and North Face Passmore's.

Re: Hiking/Walking Shoe
I've had a pair of REI hiking boots for 6 years now. WELL made boots. Just now starting to lose their waterproofing and its just now time for a new pair as the soles are about done.
I will be buying those again or Cabela's brand. I have yet to purchase something from them that has not been awesome.
Walking shoes. No idea. All my tennis shoes are running shoes.
