I now have a Glock 19L
I have been carrying my 17 in an IWB holster. I like the sight picture and barrel length, but the grip is a bit large. I had a 19 years ago and it carried well. I bobbed the gripframe to 19 mag length and now have the best of both. I can still utilize 17 mags as well as 19`s. I need to finalize the shape to my hand then I will retexture or reshape and bedliner it. I love projects like this on a pretty day. Geno

Re: I now have a Glock 19L
Thanks as always to Coach for posting pic. As you can see I haven't completed the tail bob yet. I have large hands so I may not do much more. Points and feels nice. Geno

Not bad, I did mine a while back.
Wasn't gonna post pics until I had it stippled but.......
FWIW I have been referring to mine as a Glock 17 SF.

Re: I now have a Glock 19L
With the weather today, I've decided to take the wedge from the bottom of the grip frame. I disassembled the frame, placed modeling clay down from the striker area to occlude the open space behind the magwell. I scuffed up the inside and degreased the interior. Warmed epoxy tubes in hot water. While epoxy is warming I masked off the rest of the frame. Mixed the epoxy and loaded into disposable syringe, injected slowly into "cavity" (love puns) to minimize bubbles. Tomorrow I hope to reshape backstrap to more closely resemble 1911 feel. Then to stipple lightly and blend together sections before coating with bedliner. I will put up a photo when finished. I am just waiting for the epoxy to cure. Geno

I couldn't wait. I just blended and reshaped epoxy. I replaced the slide release with an extended one. I had never used the bedliner material before so I tried it. I may not even stipple it! If someone is available, I will text after pics. Geno

I guess I'll play too. G17 RTF2: extended mag release, gripforce adapter, cut and rubberized frame and no stippling required.

Re: I now have a Glock 19L
Not great pics.
Slo-Vo chopped the grip to 19 size, stippled it, milled around the mag release & slide lock and milled trigger guard so hand can ride higher on the grip. Best thing I have done (or had done) to a Glock. Liked it so well that I sent him my other 17 to do the same thing (except chop the grip).
