The KAC FF's would like to welcome another sponsor to the site!

Black Dove Customs!

Black Dove does some very sweet Cerakote work. You can check out some of his work here:

http://www.blackdovecustoms.com/home.html

And the Black Dove Facebook here:

https://www.facebook.com/BlackDoveCustoms

Be sure to "like" them, or whatever you Facebook people do. Hopefully Ricco will be on here very soon to introduce himself.

Thanks for all the greetings, I am new to the forum stuff and haven't gotten it figured out yet.

I hope to be able to get on here a little more often in the future.
Thanks for checking out my pages. I'm open to ideas on what kind of special deal you guys would be interested in taking advantage of for getting a weapon Cerakoted.
Let's hear it.

Just how durable is Cerakote? Should the slide of a Kimber 1911 show signs of holster wear on the slide ( where there is an edge /corner between the vertical side to the top of the slide ) after one week of use in a fairly soft leather belt slide holster? Is this normal or maybe the finish was to thin there? Anybody? I thought it was supposed to be some tough stuff.

Just to be clear, the work was not done by Black Dove

CK is pretty tough

When I did the first piece , I had a drip , I found after cured. I thought I could sand it out and repaint like Dura or Gun kote.
No, had to blast it off and clean and respray/bake.

Sound like you need to go back to company and have it redone or blasted off and redone by another.

No the finish should not be coming off that easily, Cerakote is pretty durable.
