Should the slide of a Kimber 1911 show signs of holster wear on the slide ( where there is an edge /corner between the vertical side to the top of the slide ) after one week of use in a fairly soft leather belt slide holster? Is this normal or maybe the finish was to thin there? Anybody? I thought it was supposed to be some tough stuff.

Just to be clear, the work was not done by Black Dove

CK is pretty tough

When I did the first piece , I had a drip , I found after cured. I thought I could sand it out and repaint like Dura or Gun kote.
No, had to blast it off and clean and respray/bake.

Sound like you need to go back to company and have it redone or blasted off and redone by another.
If this has been redone, is there any possibility that the problem will no longer be back?
