Long bow info

Post by Camelmanky » Sat Jun 22, 2013 8:54 pm

Ok guys, I have a early 60s
Pearson long bow that needs repairing. Any good places around? The glue in between the different layers is bad. Needs to be replaced and have a new string. This was my dads when he was a kid, ordered out of sears.

Thanks

Greg

Not sure where your located, but Uncle Fans also works on and repairs bows.

Pics?

First bow I ever owned was an old Pearson recurve....I remember when o got it, it didn't have a string so I used some old shoe laces. I was only 8/9, so it kept me entertained, lol....good times.

If the lamination is coming apart it may not be repairable.
At least by a bow shop. They are parts replacers and adjustment.
You may need to contact a bowyer and have a new limb made.
