Finally got a bow

Post by ssracer » Sat Dec 13, 2014 7:49 pm

Well, I finally went to King's today and spent about two hours there. Shot several bows and walked out with a Hoyt Igniter package, six arrows and a release. Very good and very helpful people there. By the time I left the bow was perfectly set up for me and I was shooting grapefruit size six arrow groups on their range. And I get ten free sessions on their range.

Yes they did. Helped me with my stance and hold and everything. Good people, very glad I went there and didn't just buy one at Cabela's.

I bought my first bow from him about 16 years ago, when he was in jtown and went by field and stream archery, and lots of stuff since then.

Congrats! Great bow and set-up! I prefer archery over things that go boom now-a-days. That is where I purchased my Hoyt because that is all they do is bows and they do it well. I shoot at their indoor range in the winter time. Send me a message if you plan on going to the range.

I'm really liking it so far. GF got me a case and a target for Christmas. I still need to get somewhere with more range so I can set up the other two points in the sight.

The more you shoot the more you will like it. I was going to suggest a good hard case, but you have that covered. Nice case! Tom Sawyer and Cherokee both have more distance at their archery ranges. Be careful Cherokee has a standing water if it rains a lot.

Thanks. I may look into that, but I've only been out shooting with it like three times so far. I'm pretty good from about 20 yards, but I'm slow and haven't shot any further than that yet.
