Really Colt, Really?

Post by WLJ » Mon Jan 28, 2019 9:14 am

I remember when these were announced at Shot a couple of years ago and was all excited until they mentioned the price. Now we learn they weren't even made by Colt and that they took a bunch of shortcuts to boot. Not long after the "reissue" announcement I found a near mint Colt SP1 for $1,100 and couldn't be happier.

The M16A1 “Reissue”, Genuine Colt or Overpriced Copy?

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Colt has been gone since the 80s or 90s

Their 6700 and 6900 series guns are still good. Beyond that........
