Faxon 9mm barrels to be 1/2 x 28 ... (with warning tag)

I saw a couple posts in 'The Pit', but didn't see a thread with the info... so thought this bit of news deserved its own thread ...
Got an email from Faxon earlier that said they are transitioning all their 9mm barrels to 1/2x28 instead of the de facto 1/2x36 threads that keep certain idiot types from putting a 5.56 muzzle brake on them ... without first punching the center hole out to at least .350 ...
They are shipping them with a tag that warns the end user about using 5.56 brakes and FH's and a gauge to use to 'test' them ...

Sweet. My 9mm will eventually have a 1/2x28 barrel installed in place of the 1/2x36

And the 9mm squeezed to .28 caliber gain 250000 fpi , too

Am I the only one who looked at what cans had a ton of variety in mount threads before purchasing?

Ya I don't know why this really matters. You have to have a fixed mount anyway. Only thing I would like is a 300blk Barrel with 1/2x36
1/2x28 piston and 1/2x36 fixed with my can.

You can also go 3 lug or use a fixed barrel spacer. 3 lug is where it's at.
