14.5 ar with 15 in rail thoughts?

I'm putting a 15in troy alpha rail on my 14.5 ar build yes it's pinned and welded with a phantom brake that is 2.25 so overall 16inch barrel. Never did one like this before anyone have input on it?

Here is a 13" Troy rail on a 14.5" barrel with a pinned battlecomp for reference.

I found a few others like it online didn't look bad . My barrel would be 16 and 3/4ths or 16.75 think that would work with 15in rail?

It would basically be the exact same set up as above but add 2" to the rail. I personally think it would be too long.

What you have to watch for is what kind of comp/brake you have on it. The thin aluminum of the rail may not stand up to muzzle blast being directed towards it if the brake has ports within the rail
