Opinions wanted on Stag 3GH
I'm thinking of buying a Stag 3GH upper. I currently have an assembled Stag lower and it would be nice to have a complete rifle.
I like the specs on the upper:
- 18" stainless steel barrel
- Samson 15" free float forearm
- 1 in 8 twist
- rifle length gas system
Any have any experience with Stag products they would like to share?
Thanks,
BK

Well... I've see one of their bolt shear in half in a class I was teaching, but with that said the also took care of it and sent a complete BCG to reconcile the issue.
I believe a member here, Robert Paulson can give further details on that subject.
As far as overall specs, they are ok, as long as the price is right.

If the price I was quoted a few days ago is still valid then I can get the 3GH upper with an upgraded BCG for right at $750 shipped.DDgunslinger wrote:As far as overall specs, they are ok, as long as the price is right.

Re: Opinions wanted on Stag 3GH
The Stag 3GH and the BCM 18" w/ 15"KMR-A are nearly the same price. BCM $780 + shipping v Stag $750 shipped.
BCM is a better trusted name. The Samson and KMR are similar, it really depends on which you like best, but the KMR is certainly more functional with the KeyMod slots.
If you get a smokin' deal somewhere local, pick up the Stag. You probably won't have any trouble and they'll probably fix it if you do. If you'd be buying either one of them new from the source, the BCM makes more sense to me. But, you knew I'd recommend BCM as soon as you saw I replied.
