I'm afraid he's right. With all the media outlets screaming that Hitlery is gonna win, regardless of who runs against it, well, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to see what's coming. That's why I decided to do what had to be done, now.

Got 2 50rd drum mags for G17 to feed the AR9 I'm building. They were surprisingly cheap after a brief Google search! I paid $36.99/ea, plus $9.99 shipping from CDNN.

I also found a 100 rd double drum mag that looked pretty cool, but was insanely expensive and I was thinking that 100 rds of 9mm might be prohibitively heavy, even in an AR platform. I can't imagine what that would be like in a handgun!

Here's a pic of mine ... CMMG (Colt) lower, Not exactly sure who the mfg on the upper is... (Colt, I think...), but I need to put the 9mm deflector and dust cover on it. I used a 10.5" barrel I got from JoeBobOutfiiters ... as well as their flash hider (which has been replaced by my 9mm suppressor)... The barrel terminates about 1.5-2" short of the end of the CMMG 9" Revo Key Mod rail. The bolt is from CMMG and the Sig Brace is temporary... I'll probably end form 1'ing the lower and put a nice stock on it. The pistol grip is one that takes Colt 1911 grips and it works great and feels good...
One problem I have come across so far when test firing is that there are a number of 'light strikes' to primers resulting in a misfire... It's feeding OK, but I had a Timney trigger in the original build and I think maybe the spring may be a little light to drive the firing pin hard enough to set off the primers all the time... Upon close inspection of the bolt (in fact, a couple different bolts), I have found that the firing pin has to be driven pretty hard to hit the primer... I thought it was a mistake and the firing pin was too short, but comparing it to another (from Colt), that's the way it was designed ... Safety, I guess... so there won't be any 'slam fires' ... When the hammer is up all the way against the firing pin, the firing pin does not hit the primer, but the inertia created by the hammer strike evidently drives the firing pin into the primer...
I have replaced the timney with a hiperfire 24 in hopes that the extra springs used in their design will give the hammer enough 'oomph' to set the primers off 100% ... haven't been to the range since I changed triggers out, though. OH... I also replaced the firing pin spring with one that is weaker, but I will probably put the original one back in if the trigger does the job...
So far, that's the only hiccup I have had and when it works, it is really a blast to shoot ... and REALLY nice to not have to wear hearing protection.

So Sean,
Are you experiencing some misfires due to the way the bolt is designed? If not, which FCG are you using?
Thanx,
Allan

I had no feed or fire issues with mine at all. Shot mostly freedom munitions reloads and a few HP's from my carry mag. Mine is just running a milspec FCG with the hammer, trigger and sear all titanium nitride coated.
