I reread your post, I change my opinion. I thought it stuck out 1/2" past the guard, not shy of the guard. I'd not really want to chance it either after reading that...

Used a bunch of foam I have laying around. The first draft is ok. I actually think I could do a gun in the top and a gun in the bottom with a piece of foam separating them in the middle. Originally, I was hoping the 9mm sbr would fit assembled diagonally. It does not. The 2.0 version will attempt 2 weapon storage.

Tried the same thing with mine, but my case is only big enough to fit my diagonally while broke down. I rigged the foam though.
