300blk pistol length barrel

What do you guys recommend? I'm going to build a suppressed sbr. I'd like to keep the length about 8" and finish is not important since it'll be completely under a handguard. Also, how important do you think an adjustable gas block would be in this situation? Should I look for a larger gas port or standard? Thanks in advance

I bought the 89$ psa 8.5 and plan to drill the gas hole slowly tell it cycles subs reliably. My last one I took all the weight out of the buffer and it cycled subs without issue but wouldn't lock bolt back on last round with same barrel but stainless

I run an 8" on my sbr. It runs great with my adj gas block i just need to fine tune my loads and the gun now. I would definitely go adj gas block.
