AR... just kinda stressed.

Got the DPMS Oracle.
So far what I've done to her is this.
I threw on a carbine length magpul hand guard in the flat earth tan-ish color.
Bought a few magpul mags.
And the only sight I have on her now is a TruGlo reflex.
So far the Truglo hasn't been god awful but it just feels sinful having it on there.
I have the railed gas block, that sets a lil lower than the rail on the receiver.
I Want to know what iron sights should I put on her, and I've already decided on getting the Vortex strike fire.
Don't need the most expensive suggestions fellas I'm poor :llama:

it just seems like every nice sight I find says not to be mounted on gas block right beside it. It is really stressful I guess I don't know enough to know where I need to be looking or what I need to change.

I would go with a Primary Arms red dot. It's just like the Vortex without the screw in magnifier and it's half the price.

Nice Thanks I'll look around for some reviews but they seem to be exactly what I'm looking for
you wouldn't happen to have had any past experience with these?

Heck it was cheaper than the Darn TruGlo lol. Which is either going on my .22 or 870 after I replace it.

Tue reason most frontights won't work on a railed gas block is because the rail on the gas block sits lower than the receiver rail. Check midway USA and brownells. They make flip up sights for railed gas blocks.

I used to have a primary arms red dot. It was a nice red dot for the money. I would recomend it for a budget optic.

two things to think about on the front sight. If you are using a picatinny gas block it usually is lower than the handguard and receiver rails so not all front sights will be tall enough, foldable or otherwise. The other thing to think about is the heat that it will be subject to. Not all will stand up to that.

On mine, it is the picatinny gas block, short variety. I use a folding site from Yankee Hill. All metal, works great and tall enough. I think i got it from Brownells, tho i am sure others carry them. Be sure to look at the picture before ordering, the extra "neck" height is easy to see on the right one.
