Re: The Black Rifle Pic Thread
I want to learn about my rifle. Shoot it as much as I can. Learn some tactics, figure out what I like and don't. Plus, I just spent a good chunk of cash on mine, and some additional parts. I say a few years, but that may turn into 6 months quickly.rustynuts wrote:Welcome. Why wait a few years, jump on in. I'm building my first right now.

Take an RWI course or two....you'll learn how to handle your rifle and what does and doesn't work pretty quick

Re: The Black Rifle Pic Thread
I just came across that last night actually. I'm planning on going to the June Carbine 1 class. Has anyone gone through them? Anything I should now or feedback before I pay and sign up?ssracer wrote:Take an RWI course or two....you'll learn how to handle your rifle and what does and doesn't work pretty quick

Re: The Black Rifle Pic Thread
Most of us on KAC are friends with the instructors and they are active posters on here. I don't think you'll hear anything negative about their classes. They're excellent instructors and great guys when you get to meet them. Their classes are an awesome deal for the amount of training you get.kygator13 wrote:I just came across that last night actually. I'm planning on going to the June Carbine 1 class. I'm confused by this picture, was it flipped or mirrored? Everything is on the wrong side lol.kygator13 wrote:New member, from Florence, here is my rifle. This is my first AR. Plan on building my own in a few years.

Re: The Black Rifle Pic Thread
It's a Samson. I need to find a longer rail section for the bottom, or another to match the front section. The one I picked up is a bit thicker and it's driving me nuts.GeminiXD9 wrote:Looks good rusty. What rail is that?

Looks famaliar
As well it should Coach! Like I told RS, I'm amazed at how it fell into my lap. It's 90% of what I was going to assemble on my own. Fortune smiled on me this weekend.

That looks sharp. Good color combination for the honey badger.
I need to start looking into optics. Running fixed sights for now (PRI in front and Troy in the rear) until I can decide on something.

Getting the cash was too much like work RS. Next time I'll have to remember to schedule transactions during bankers' hours. Hope I didn't hold you up too long.
