Rem/UMC quality control

Post by kyswede » Sat Jun 20, 2015 9:27 pm

I was shooting my Glock 17 this afternoon using Rem/UMC bulk ammo. One round just went "click". After waiting 30 seconds I ejected the round. I guess 1 out of 1000 isn't too bad.

Every brand has duds from time to time.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Yep, seen that more than once. Gotta pay attention when loading your mags.

I've had both of the aforementioned problems on my Dillon reloader. Not that it has anything to do with factory loads, just that as Wyldman says, you have to QC the rounds as you load mags too.

My problem was corrected by replacing a worn part that prevented the shell plate from indexing to its correct location every time.

Easy to spot when opening a 50 round box. This one came from a 1k bulk box. I had put 50 rounds in each ziplock bag.
